Photographed during an artist residency at the Verbier 3-D Foundation in 2016, the book juxtaposes snow-covered mountain landscapes with Swiss underground shelters built in the 1960s in preparation for nuclear disaster.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBy contrasting melting glaciers with artificial underground spaces, the work connects the anxieties around science and progress that run through Shelley’s novel with contemporary environmental issues and nuclear threats.
