Eamonn Doyle is a photographer based in Dublin, Ireland. He is also active in music as an electronic music producer, DJ, and label founder, and is known for a practice that moves across photography, music, and urban culture.
Published in 2014, i is the first book in Doyle’s acclaimed “Dublin Trilogy.” The photographs depict people walking through central Dublin, often seen from behind, from above, or cropped closely around parts of the body. By deliberately withholding faces and much of the surrounding context, the images retain the immediacy of street photography while giving the figures a sense of anonymity and sculptural presence.
In 2025, Doyle’s later work K was presented at KYOTOGRAPHIE, bringing renewed attention to his practice in Japan. As the starting point of the series that continued with ON and End., i is an important early book that helped establish Doyle’s international reputation.
